  • Help families create special memory‑making pieces together
  • Spend time in our family room, garden room, or occasionally in patient bedrooms, depending on where you’re needed
  • Keep an eye on our art supplies, helping to audit what we have and letting staff know when items need topping up

What skills and qualities will I need?

We welcome volunteers who are:

  • Friendly, approachable, and respectful
  • Creative and enjoy working with others
  • Able to recognise someone’s abilities and know when an activity needs to pause

  • Reliable and confident working independently
  • Good communicators who are happy to ask for help when they need it
  • Motivated to support patients, visitors, and ward staff
  • Understanding of the importance of confidentiality in a healthcare setting
