We are looking for volunteers to help sort through our mountains of donated goods and organise stock for the coming months to send out to our 14 shops. Our Donation Centre accepts donations from members of the public 6 days a week and our retail department raises vital funds for St Leonard’s through the sale of pre-loved goods through our shops and is also a valuable face of the Hospice across our local communities.
When am I needed?
The Donation Centre is open Monday to Saturday, 9am-4pm and cannot function without volunteer support.
Morning or afternoon shifts can be arranged to suit your availability and are usually for 2 -3 hours, preferably on a weekly or fortnightly basis.
Currently we are looking for volunteers to sort donations and tag them.

Support and Supervision
Volunteers will be supervised by the Donation Centre managers, supported by the St Leonard’s Hospice Retail Team, based in the Support Office, who together will provide you with general training and liaise closely with you over all aspects of your role.
The Volunteer Services Team will help guide you through the application and induction process and be your point of contact for general enquiries about volunteering.
Training
Volunteers are required to complete mandatory training modules which are usually delivered via our online platform. Additional, booster and refresher training may be delivered as needed via e-learning, video links or face to face. You may also be invited to attend role specific in person meetings where appropriate.
